Kibibi Bags
We love these fabulous "kibibi" bags from Dar-es-salaam.
An upcycle twist on the Tanzanian tradition of weaving scraps of cloth
into welcome mats and other homewares, these fluffy wonders are made
from discarded plastic bags. Sourced from womens groups in Tanzania
these fair-trade bags are good to the community and to the planet at the
same time. Incredibly time-consuming and detailed, every bag is
different and lined with Kitenge another gorgeous Tanzanian fabric.
Kibibi is Little Madam in Kiswahili!
